Construction of JPRESSWOOD, a modern and fully automated pressed pallet block production plant has officially begun in the Marijampolė region. The project is being carried out by AB Panevėžio statybos trestas (PST) under a €42 million contract.
Over the next two years, a production and administrative complex covering approximately 20,000 square meters will be built. The site will include all necessary infrastructure, such as internal roads, parking areas, and engineering networks. The factory will manufacture pressed pallet blocks using wood industry waste and is expected to create around 150 new jobs. Operations are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2027.
The JPRESSWOOD project is financed by the National Development Bank UAB ILTE, which has allocated €77 million under the European Union’s NextGenerationEU initiative. The total project investment exceeds €100 million.
